exploring creativity
Exploring Creativity is a series of workshops developed and led by artists Jon Rees and Harriet Hoult, encouraging participants to explore new ways of making, experimenting and engaging with their own creative process.
Bringing together their individual artistic practices and approaches to creative facilitation, Harriet and Jon developed the workshops to provide a welcoming environment in which people can explore creativity without the pressure of producing a particular outcome.
Working across a range of materials and approaches, including painting, drawing, spray paint and photography, participants are introduced to exercises and creative prompts designed to encourage experimentation, curiosity and new ways of seeing. The sessions offer opportunities to try unfamiliar techniques, develop ideas and discover different approaches to making work.
Originally held at Kindred Studios in West London, the workshops take place in a relaxed, collaborative environment, with opportunities for individual exploration and shared conversation. Open to all levels of experience, Exploring Creativity encourages participants to follow their own interests and instincts and develop greater confidence in their individual creative expression.
